Terms of service
These terms apply when you buy from collectivecanvas.com in the UK. Please read them before you order. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
Collective Canvas is a trading name of Overland Group UK Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14761514). Our registered office is 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Our VAT number is GB499796193.
You can reach us at info@collectivecanvas.com. If we need to contact you, we'll use the email address or phone number you gave us with your order.
2. Using our website
You can browse our website for your own personal use. Please don't misuse it, for example by trying to get unauthorised access, introducing viruses, or copying our content for commercial use.
We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
3. Our products
We show our trainers as accurately as we can. Natural materials like hemp, cotton, cork and rubber vary a little from batch to batch, and screens show colours differently, so your pair may look slightly different from the photos.
Our sizes are EU sizes. Please check our sizing guide before you order. If they don't fit, we offer free size exchanges (see our Refund Policy).
Some products are sold as "Imperfects". These have small cosmetic marks or colour variations that don't affect how they work, and they're priced to reflect that. The marks we describe aren't a fault.
4. Your order
When you place an order, you'll get an email confirming we've received it. That isn't yet our acceptance. Our contract with you starts when we email to confirm your order has been dispatched.
We may not be able to accept your order, for example if an item is out of stock, we can't deliver to your address, or there's an obvious error in the price or description. If that happens, we'll tell you and refund anything you've paid.
You must be 18 or over to place an order.
5. Prices and payment
Our prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT. Delivery costs are added at checkout, before you pay.
We take payment when you place your order. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers.
If we've made an obvious mistake with a price, we'll contact you before dispatching and you can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
6. Delivery
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom. Delivery options, costs and estimated times are shown at checkout and in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates, and busy periods like Christmas can add a few days.
The trainers are your responsibility from the moment they're delivered to you or to someone you've chosen to receive them. Ownership passes to you once we've received full payment.
If your order doesn't arrive, or arrives damaged, please email us and we'll sort it out.
7. Your right to cancel
You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To cancel, email us at info@collectivecanvas.com with your order number. You then have a further 14 days to send the items back to us. You pay the cost of posting them back.
We'll refund the price you paid, plus standard delivery, within 14 days of getting the items back (or proof you've sent them). We refund to your original payment method.
Please try your trainers on indoors. We can reduce your refund if an item has been worn or handled more than you would need to in a shop to check it.
On top of this legal right, we also offer 30-day returns on unworn, full-price pairs and free size exchanges. Our Refund Policy explains how these work and where to send your return.
8. Faulty items
Everything we sell must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If something is faulty, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you these rights:
- within 30 days of delivery, you can reject it for a full refund
- after that, you can ask us to repair or replace it, and if that doesn't work, you can get some or all of your money back
- you can make a claim for up to six years
Normal wear and tear, or damage from misuse or not following our care guide, isn't a fault. If you think a pair is faulty, email us with your order number and some photos. We'll cover the cost of sending a faulty pair back.
9. Gift cards and discount codes
Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be used on anything on our UK website. They can't be exchanged for cash. Please keep your code safe, as we can't replace a lost gift card code that someone else has used.
Discount codes can only be used once per order, can't be combined unless we say so, and may have their own conditions and expiry dates.
10. Reviews
If you leave a review, it must be honest and about your own experience. We may publish it on our website and social channels, together with your name and any photos you add. We won't edit what you say, but we may remove reviews that are offensive, unlawful or not about our products.
11. Our content
Our website, photos, designs, text and logos belong to us or the people who license them to us. Please don't use them without our permission.
12. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses, as our trainers are sold for personal use.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law doesn't allow us to limit, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act.
13. Events outside our control
We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as strikes, extreme weather or carrier disruption. If that happens, we'll let you know and do what we can to keep it short. If the delay is long, you can cancel and get a refund for anything not yet delivered.
14. Your information
We use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on our website when you placed it.
16. Complaints and the law
If you're unhappy with anything, please email us first at info@collectivecanvas.com and we'll do our best to put it right.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
