Have only worn them around home and the office for 4 days so far but very comfy and should wear in more over time as hemp does.
Very comfy soles and the rubber is skate-shoe quality like the good old days.
Cant yet give the full 5 star only because they meed more wear for me to judge that.
As a big foot biddie some shoes can make my feet look very long (I know it shouldn’t matter) but these shoes make them look like normal sized feet due to the careful design and I genuinely enjoy that haha. Other than that, the cork sole in the shoe is frikken Devine. So very comfortable, they look sick, I’m supporting a smaller purpose driven business with Mother Nature in mind and I can tell they’re going to last me a while. 10/10 and recommend highly. The shoes are an extremely narrow fit. I bought a pair of size 13s and was barely able to fit into them due to how thin they were, once I was in them they were also small length ways. I wear size 13s normally and dont have an issue so these are definitely on the smaller side
I was looking for some NZ made natural shoes when I found The Canvas Collective with just the type of shoes I was looking for and when they arrived not only did they look great with quality construction and materials they are amazingly comfortable. I love these shoes. They are a lovely deep brown colour. I have wide feet so I sized up which worked well. There isn’t any padding at the back which will be interesting over time. The footbeds are comfortable cork, but too flat to be amazingly comfortable to wear for long periods of time on feet. Overall, happy as with the shoes.
These sneakers are aesthetically so nice, I love the gum sole and chocolate brown colour and as well as what Collective Canvas stand for and the fact they can pair with anything. The only thing I wish was different was if there was a bit of padding inside the shoe itself (lining) as well as some arch support in the sole for support and comfort when wearing for extended periods.
I’ve purchased a number of sustainable sneakers in the past, and none quite compare in quality and comfort to my Collective Canvas sneakers. From the first time I wore them, they were neither tight nor rubbed - unlike the first few wears in other sneakers. I’ve had so many compliments on the colour and style already - absolutely love them!
I’m very happy with these shoes!! It’s very stylish and the soles are comfortable. I was skeptical about the cork material at first, but it’s holding up well. I hope you come out with wide feet friendly shoes too. I’m somewhere between “average” and wider feet, so it’s definitely not something I’d be wearing to walk around the whole day BUT that’s a personal experience due to my feet width, not an issue with the shoe itself.
This is my second pair of Collective Canvas footwear. The first I purchased what seems like two years ago and they are still going strong. I enjoy that they are comfortable to wear, a relaxed look to go with my lifestyle and made with products with thought to the environment.
Absolutely love these shoes. They seem really good quality and look great. Happy to be able to buy NZ made shoes that are both vegan and made sustainably. Regarding fit, I am usually 39 but went for 40 having measured my foot and used the chart on the website - this was helpful as 40 is a good fit.

This is my second purchase from Collective Canvas. I got them because I was so impressed with the first pair I bought. I love the designs, and they're made with top quality materials. They also fit me perfectly, and are very comfortable to wear.
the shoes are very comfortable and are very well made. if you are between sizes after measuring your feet i would suggest sizing up as i feel like they will be a little tight in warmer weather (although the material may also relax a bit). i will say, the olive colour is far more olive than the pictures show (the pictures look more sage to me, however in real life the shoes are darker and have more of a true olive colour, maybe even khaki). overall pretty happy with my purchase, and love how sustainable they are!!
I switched to barefoot/minimalist shoes almost 10 years ago. although these don’t exactly fit into that category. They’re very comfortable with the foot issues I have. I would prefer a slightly wider toe box but overall extremely happy with these shoes. Comfortable and stylish. I kind of want one of every colour!
Bought along with with Ecru and Coffee Looper. Found canvas quite stiff with the Navy, guessing this is just the dye and anticipate they will loosen with wear.
Love the colour, not to dark but makes the perfect statement.
